Administration

Principal Janet Blackwell grew up in the small town of Pleasanton, thirty miles south of San Antonio. She attended Pleasanton High School, where she participated in several sports. She received a B.A. in Education from Nelson University in 1990, the same year she married her husband, Dawain Blackwell. She has taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade, as well as Gifted and Talented and Special Education. She received her M.S. in Educational Administration from Concordia University, Texas.
She desires to guide students to look at their lives like races. They must run their own race, meaning that they should not compare themselves to others but instead embrace their unique talents and abilities. If they are distracted by how others are running, they will not discover the course for their lives.
PURPLE is Ms. Blackwell's favorite color, which denotes good judgment and/or happiness. In her spare time, she enjoys training for marathons with a local running group of friends. She has completed 21 marathons and finalized her dream by competing in the 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2023 Boston Marathons. She enjoys reading or watching movies with her husband and their dog, Belle, during her free time when she is not running.

Mrs. Lindsey Garcia is beginning her 21st year in education. She has served as the Assistant Principal of Rockenbaugh for the past seven months and is eager to start her first full academic year in this role. Prior to her administrative position, Mrs. Garcia worked as the Science and Math Curriculum Coordinator for CISD and taught 2nd and 4th grades at Rockenbaugh.
A native of Garland, Texas, Mrs. Garcia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from East Texas Baptist University and subsequently obtained her Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University.
Mrs. Garcia enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Mike, and their two children, Ben (13) and Harper (7), both of whom attend school in Carroll. She is dedicated to the students, families, and staff of Rockenbaugh and feels fortunate to serve this community.

Meet Molly
Hi, friends! I’m Molly, Rockenbaugh’s brand-new therapy dog!
I live with my mom, Mrs. Aldridge, but my favorite days are when I come to school to wag my tail, get belly rubs, and spread smiles. I can’t wait to be your furry friend and help make every day paws-itively amazing!

I was born in Brooklyn, New York, but was raised in southern Louisiana, specifically in Sulphur. I started my police career in Louisiana with the Port of Lake Charles Police Department. I moved to the City of Lake Charles Police Department in 1987, where I served as a Corporal. In 1990, I started working for the DFW Airport Police Department, where I spent over 25 years, retiring January 28, 2016. While at the airport, I moved through the ranks up to Lieutenant, where I spent the last twelve years of my career. I have been a Motor Officer, Bike Officer, SWAT Team member, and Police Sniper. As a Sergeant, I served as a Tactical Team Leader and Sniper Commander. As a Lieutenant, I served as the Tactical Commander for eight years.
I am a graduate of the FBI National Academy class #257. My wife is Monique, and we have four children, all of whom graduated from Carroll schools. We also became proud grandparents in December of 2023 with the birth of our granddaughter. In my spare time, I like to play golf, watch football, and Monique and I take at least two cruises a year.

Mrs. Ariana Taylor was born in Upland, California; however, she grew up in Southlake, Texas, and is a proud Carroll alumna. She attended Carroll School District (K-12), where she was a part of the Emerald Belles for 4 years. She received her B.S. in Public Health with a Global Emphasis from the University of Arizona, a B.S. in Nursing from the Arizona College of Nursing, and is continuing her education to become a Family Nurse Practitioner at Texas Woman's University. She and her husband tied the knot in 2024 and welcomed their baby boy in January 2025.
Mrs. Ariana loves watching comedy movies, spending time with family, traveling to new places, and trying new foods. She also enjoys swimming and skiing, activities that remind her how important it is to stay active and embrace life’s adventures.
As the school nurse, I’m passionate about helping every student feel their best so they can learn, grow, and enjoy school. A healthy mind starts with a healthy body. Every heartbeat matters, every smile is worth protecting, and every student’s well-being is our priority.
